The Silver Stag Slab Series is manufactured with 1084 High Carbon tool steel. 1084 High Carbon tool steel is often used to manufacture commercial saw blades. This steel is recognized for its cutting and edge holding ability. Our Slab Series designs are extremely functional and used by professional sportsmen that prefer a high carbon blade to a stainless steel blade. We bake a molly coating onto each blade to eliminate corrosion common in high carbon metals. The blades have been heat treated to a 56 Rockwell rating and are manufactured in full tang slab construction. The Slab Series is manufactured with elk or moose antler handles and accompanied with a leather sheath.
