Brad Smith, SILVER STAG's owner and founder, grew up hunting and fishing in Washington state. Brad found that a good knife was an invaluable tool and began collecting knives at a very early age. In 1995, with the help of an old country redneck neighbor, Brad began manufacturing knives out of his garage. After a couple of years of practice and refining his knife making skills, Brad increased his manufacturing infrastructure and began selling his knives at local gun shows, and through Mom & Pop stores located throughout the Pacific Northwest. As sales and demand escalated for his line of shed antler fixed bladed knives, Brad began building a business around his hobby. In 2000, Smith & Partners, LLC was formed.
Brad opened a factory, hired and trained additional employees, and built a large network of antler suppliers.

Over the last decade, SILVER STAG has grown into a nationally recognized, high quality brand that is distributed by quality sporting good, cutlery, and gift stores throughout North America. Every single unit is still handmade by a small group of guys that take pride in their work, and consider quality more important than quantity. The company is proud to
stand behind their products by offering a limited lifetime warranty. In addition, the company offers a free sharpening and refurbishing service.
